MDL Powerup is located in Carlisle, Cumbria. Our premises comprises of large friendly office and 4,000 square feet of workshop and storage space. As a family business whose roots are firmly grounded in a farming background, we understand the varied challenges and workloads that are a part of everyday farming life across the UK.

We have a dedicated and friendly customer service team, working alongside a fantastic highly trained workshop crew.

To compliment our fantastic range of agricultural products – we now take pride in offering fabrication work with our high spec machinery. With a 320 tonne 4-meter press brake, 4×2 meter bed HD plasma and our balancer has the capability for rotors with weight up to 1100 kg and a length of 4675mm. We pride ourselves on our fast efficient turn around & competitive rates.

Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. This farming & engineering knowledge originated from Christopher Metcalfe (Founder of MDL Powerup) when he took up a career in engineering 40 years ago. As a fabricator, Chris gained invaluable experience in reading drawings, using geometric development methods and metal forming techniques. He also developed a comprehensive knowledge of industrial welding and joining processes which he uses to ensure all items are manufactured to a very high standard.
